Our Donors
Since Women in Progress is not a government agency, we rely on the generosity of the public to alleviate poverty at a grassroots level in developing nations through the sustainable growth of small women-owned businesses.

Volunteers are required to cover their direct expenses associated with their overseas assignment. Donations from other individuals, foundations, and businesses help to provide ongoing business and technology resources to woman-owned businesses in each country of operation.

We appreciate the support of each donor working toward a shared vision!

British High Commission
The British High Commission awarded Women in Progress 102,418,000 cedis (6,706 British pounds) to enable Women in Progress to expand its International Trade program. Through the grant, Women in Progress has been able to 1) establish a a preliminary raw materials revolving loan fund for apparel production 2) open the Global Mamas retail store in Cape Coast 3) launch the Global Mamas website, and 4) develop sales kits and tags to help market products made by women in Ghana to retailers abroad.

MacMunnis Inc.
Stephanie Weeks, President and owner of MacMunnis, recently contributed $1,000 to Women in Progress. MacMunnis is a women owned business located in Illinois that provides Fortune 1000 corporations with Commercial Real Estate Administration Management. Given their focus on real estate, it was fitting for MacMunnis to fund the three-year advance rent required to launch the Global Mamas store in Cape Coast, Ghana.

Hinsdale Township Highschool Students
The World Wise Student Group of Hinsdale Township High School recently made their second $2,000 donation to Women in Progress. Their most recent contribution will be used to seed the development of a Raw Materials Revolving Loan Fund for the women entrepreneurs participating in our programs. Students at Hinsdale Township High School have been raising funds to support development projects in Ghana for nearly ten years under the direction of World Studies teacher, Rob Russo.
